High School Scholarships

GIVING BACK TO OUR COMUNITY

The Waconia Lions Club offer 6 scholarships to students of the Waconia High School. The school selects the recipients for each of these awards based on our criteria of each scholarship.

Each spring the Waconia Lions Club joins the Waconia High School for Awards Night where we award these scholarships to the deserving students.

The Ron Machtemes Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a student going for a four year degree.
The Paul Melchert Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a student going for a four year degree.
The Wayne Hall Memorial Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a student going to a Technical College.
The Bob Sudheimer memorial Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a student going to a Technical College.
The Ozzie Moonen memorial Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a college bound student athlete.
The Tom Kaliher Scholarship: a $1500 scholarship for a student going into the medical field as a nurse or medical technician.
